Show Personal We were pleased to meet, yestoriay, Mr. Ward, of the firm of Smitnson & Ward, importers and wholesale dealers in Knglish, Irish and Scotch ales and porters, and foreign wines and liquors, Sacramento Etreet, San Francisco. The arm is a first-class ono and may be fully relied on. Mr. Ward remains in town a few days in the interest of his house. "We commend him to our business men. ' Hons. A. O. Smootand D. Evana, of Utah county, were injtown' yesterday in good health. Slajor Powell, the Colorado explorer, was around town yesterday. His camp is about three miles from the city. D. B. Frink, Esq., of the Truckee liepublican, is in town and called yesterday. yes-terday. Tho -gentleman comes to Salt Lake partly for pleasure and partly for health, but will, while here, pick up some information of lha city and Territory, Terri-tory, which will bo given to tho readers of the Kepublican.
