Show Ins San Francisco Chronicle says that all the stock in the Lent Harpend-- Harpend-- ing diamond incorporation that was for sale has been taken at the bed rock price of Ho per share. It appears, however, that one gentleman succeeded succeed-ed in obtaining 1,500 shares after there ceased to be any for sale. From the statements published in tho San Francisco Fran-cisco papers relative to this discovery ot d.anionds, it would appear that the gems are so plentiful that, liko everything every-thing else in this world, they will cease to be esteemed, because they' will become be-come so oommon. If they exist in the quantity represented, the price of them will soon bo cheap enough to admit ad-mit of a Bigger Indian sporting a hugo solitaire diamond ring and breastpin. |
