Show The Robbed Surveying Party, In tho Herald of yesterday was an item in regard to tho robbing of Col, De Lacey's surveying party, by ioad agents, near Dry Creek, Idaho. De Laeoy is chief engineer of the N. P. R, H. and was en route homo His party was detailed by tho N. P. R. R, to find a path over tho spur which separates Idaho and Montana, and had been operating in the Lemhi valley, val-ley, Idaho, and along tho banks of tho Salmon river in that Territory. Tho party built boats at Salmon oity and made a rather perilous voyage. They reported tho route to tho Columbia, via Salmon city, very practicable, and give by xrometrio barometer the elevation ele-vation of tho divide near Horse Prai-rio Prai-rio at 7.SO0 feet. |
