remarkable FIND OF MINER IV I 1 rd ou n a 66 adde in solid rock in montana great falls mont while at AL work in the lakeside coal mine in S sand and near here moses martindale n miner aciner made a very remarkable discovery which Is attracting a good deal 0 f curiosity about nine feet from the surface Im bedded in tho the solid rock in which lie he was at work he uncovered a lizard which so far as the formation of the rock and the surrounding s ur country is ii concerned must haye have been there for thousands of years there was absolu absolutely tedy no means by which the lizard could have gotten in there since nature closed up the g gap ap when first uncovered the reptile a appeared p to bo torpid and while it moved it made no effort to escape when brought to the tight light however it showed more signs of life and now la Is on exhibition at the home of mr Di artindale where it has been visited by a great many curious people and so far there is no evidence that flint it his has beer been affected injuriously by its long fa fast s t and in tho t he solid rock
