Show 5JiS3 Wlnfield, a young lady about twenty years of age, from near Ashland, had a leg amputated by Dr. Patce, assisted as-sisted by Drs. Stillman and AlcCollis-tcr, AlcCollis-tcr, at Manhattan, on Monday afternoon. after-noon. W hen she was seven years old she was bitten by a copperhead snake on her knee, causing the cord to contract con-tract until her leg was drawn greatly out of shape. A physician told her that he could straighten her limb, and in so doing he broke it in two places. Since that time it has caused her a great deal of pain, and been worse than useless. iV. facr. |
