Show Died in Prison. Yesterday afternoon after-noon W. R. Howard, who had been confined in the city prison for intoxication, intoxi-cation, suddenly died. An inquest was held upon Che body yesterday evening by Coroner Bcatic, and the following was tho verdict of the jury: Territory of Utah, County of Salt Lake, Salt Lake City, October 4th, 1S71. We the jury having been duly im-pannelcd im-pannelcd and sworn to inquire into the cause of the death of Col. W. K. Howard, How-ard, from the testimony before us upon up-on our oaths, do say, thi3 day, at the City Hall, in Salt Lake City, the deceased de-ceased came to his death from excessive exces-sive use of ardent spirits.
