The Abbey min-; min-; ing and tunnel company, incorporated i July 8th, is working away at their tun-S tun-S nel with splendid prospeots, having j already struck rich chloride float; and I they expect within a few feet to strike another one of the rich bodies of min-; min-; eral for whioh Lion hill is noted. At a meeting of the "liberals" held yesterday evening, the names of W. T. Barber, J. R. YanAnkin, Major R. O'Kecle, G. W. Snively and H. C. Lincoln were chosen as delegates to the Territorial Convention at Salt Lake. Walker Bro'a new stamp mill, and that of the Brevoort Milling Company are nearly ready for work. Both expect ex-pect to begin crushing this week. Two of tho smelters here are now working handsomely and making the bast run yet niado. Greatly increased preparations are now being made for more active work on the various mines in this district. The arrivals by stage lines are numerous. nu-merous. Warren Hussey, President of tho 1st .National Bank of Utah, arrived here this evening. Mr. Ilussey has invested largely in this district, and now comes to personally visit the Sunnyside mino and the Hamilton Tunnel Co's operations. Philip Wadsworth, Esq., from Chi-! Chi-! cago, is about making some invest-! invest-! meuts here. He has been visiting Dry i Canon and will do this district I thoroughly before leaving. |
