Show Shocking Accident. Last Wed nesday morning Lorenzo D. Rudd, who resides in the southwestern portion of this city, was crossing the C. P. track near the depot, and while watching an engine that had just parted from a caboose, ca-boose, he did not notice the latter, which was in motion, and caught his foot as he stepped on tho line, threw him down and passed over his right leg, crushing it terribly just above the knee. Dr. Ncllis amputated the limb. Mr. Rudd was much improved yesterday, yes-terday, and hopes are entertained of his recovery. The nervous system roccived a very severe shock and did not ftilly react until to-day. He is in a very critical situation, but by proper care and the efforts of tho physician he is likely to recover.
