Wilkinson, alias "Iron-clad Jimmy," a noted thief and desperado, on a warrant for beating beat-ing his wife. Jimmy was armed with a pistol, and ran out of the rear and attempted to escape. Waldron calling out stop, fired over his head to frighten fright-en him, when Jimmy, climbing a fence, raised his head bringing it in range of the ball which passed through it. Alter falling, Jimmy said to Waldron, "You are tho son of a b h who shot me," and threw a handful of sand in his face. He died on his arrival at tho calaboose. Prank Lynes has been arrested ou a the charge of exchanging a California diamond solitare ring with a woman, for a genuine diamond ring, for luck, and then pawning it.
