Show Impbovements. Improvements arc the order of the day just now, and those on East Temple street which we have before mentioned are progressing favorably. Tho new building of .Geo. Goddard is almost ready for occupancy. The front is very neat, the lower story having a fine plate glass window, with plate glass doors on either side. The new bank and billiard saloon on the west side of the street, is also being be-ing pushed ahead rapidly. The basement base-ment walls, which are of rock, aro finished, fin-ished, the floor joists laid, and the adobie work of the back walls well advanced. ad-vanced. Taylor and Cutler are making quite an extension to cheir premises, which will give them plenty of warehouse room besides a large addition to the depth of their present store. The building in course of construction is a hundred and twenty-five feet deep by thirty-five feet in width, and will probably prob-ably be three stories high; the upper part being fitted up as oflicea and, sleeping rooms. |
