Reduction in Freight Tariff. Tho directors of tho Utah Central railroad, at their last regular monthly meeting, made an arrangement with tho Utah Southern road by which ores will be carried from Sandy station, on the U. S. It. R., to Ogden, for $35 tho car load. This makes an important reduction for the benefit of snippers over former rates by team and rail. Sandy station is the nearest railroad point to the Cotton woods, and this reduction in freight will aid in giving an increased impetus to ore shipments. The fact will be found announced in our advertising columns.
