Show The Hakiu.son Poisoning Case. Dr. J, M. Benedict made a careful analysis of the stomach and part of the liver of Mr. Harrison, the late proprietor proprie-tor of the White House, Ogden, and went up to that city on Thursday . morning to give evidjnee on the inves-j inves-j ttgation into the cause of death. Dr. I Benedict found arsenic in both the stomach and liver, though not in suf-I suf-I ficicnt quantity in cither to kill a man; ! but thero was enough to lead a medical j man to believe that sufficient had been taken into tho system to cause death; and the supposition is, that if the body had bjen examined traces of the poison would have been found in all the tissues. Dr. Benediot was subjected to an examination of about three hours, and himself and threo other witnesses Dr. Mclntyre, Dr. Anderson of Ogden, Og-den, and Coroner Fife occupied the stand during the day, tho investigation having been adjourned until yesterday morning. |
