Show BECOMING REASSURED. Our exchange hogin to come to us somewhat manured as t the condition condi-tion of alTairn in Utah, and a few of them liave editorials on the subject, though the greater number simply print the telegrams sent by the Associated Asso-ciated Press correspondent in this city, which contradict in very positive language lan-guage the incendiary dispatches forwarded for-warded by some special telegraphist; slating facts as he understands them. Tho general opinion seems to be that the trouble here is ol'a broader character charac-ter than tho mero indicting of a few individuals, no matter how prominent they may be. It is conceded that tho point at issue is one involving involv-ing the faith of the Mormon church; and the question is how far the American people will permit the principle of religious liberty to bo jeopardized by a lew fanatical oiHcials and an unscrupulous "ring." As fast as tho facts become known the good souse of the great people will pronounce an unalterable vcrdiet against thoso who havo instituted and are continuing this crusade ; and no persons know this better than the "ring," whoso agents so assiduously boek to mislead tho public by false telegrams and false correspondence. |
