Show A fiOTICE FOR Mrs. PAIR. San Francisco possesses in the person per-son of Mrs. Laura Fair the most enterprising enter-prising women in matrimonial matters that has yet appeard. This energetic female had the courage to marry four times two of her husbands committing suicide and one of them being divorced from her. Had she continued to marry she would not now be in difficulties; but unfortunately she ventured to vary the monotony of perpetual marriage by a little adultery and subsequent homicide. Consequently she came to the clutches of the law, and is now on trial for her life. She rehearsed the story of her marriage in court the other day, and was wildly applauded by two sympathetic sympa-thetic women, who could not repress their admiration for a woman who had done so much toward the suppression of the tyrant man. A callous court, incapable of understanding the finer emotions of the female heart, rudely fined the two sympathetic females twenty-five dollars each. Thus is delicate deli-cate and tender women ground beneath the heel of coarse and brutal man. JV". Y. World. |
