Show A Blooded Bull. Hon. C. Lay-ton Lay-ton of Kaysville, Davis county, has a fine blooded bull, of which the following follow-ing is a correct pedigree: Name, "King William;" color, cherry cher-ry red; bred by F. J. Barbee, of Glen Keho Farm, Bourbon Co., Kentucky. Calved, April 2nd, 1S70; by Adric 2nd. (7456), out of Sallie Duke; by imp. Duke of Airdrie (12730), out of Peeress Peer-ess 2nd, by Renick (903); Peeress by Paragon. Jr., (1155); Princess by Renick; Ren-ick; (903) Mary Clay 3rd, by Comet; Ualley, Jr., (1134); Mary Clay 2nd, by Cossack (4503): Mary Clay bv Gold Finder (2066); Laura by Oliver (23S7). The figures refer to the numbers in the herd or stock book. This animal was purchased for Mr. Layton by Mr. John Pack, at a cost of $300, and weighed when eleven months old 952 lbs. It is very encouraging to have such fine stock brought to the Territory, and speaks well for tho future fu-ture ef our stock raising. |
