Show Letter-Slits. Salt Lake City has not yet reached the dignity of a free letter delivery, but there exists great need for letter-slits in tho doors of mauy business houses for the delivery of papers. pa-pers. Our carriers go round in the morning before business commences. Papers have to be thrown on stair heads, thrust under doors, and left loose where the carriers think best; and many of these papers are " borrowed" without permission of the owners and never returned. With the best desire in the world to have every paper promptly delivered, it is impossible for carriers to be responsible for their being be-ing received every morning, where they are open to the attention of such " borrowers." Make letter-slits in the doors, gentlemen, and you will do a good thing. |
