In the corps legislatif today, to-day, Duke Grammopt announced that war had been declared with Prussia and her allies in the following words : "Messieurs, the expose presented to you on the 1,5th in.st. made known the causes we have for a war against Prussia Prus-sia according to the rules and usage of nations ; and by the emperor I have requested the charge d' affairs to notify the cabinet of Prussia of our resolution resolu-tion to seek with arms the guarantees' we cou'd not obtain by discussion. This has been done ; ana I have the honor to make known to the corps leg-islatif leg-islatif that, in consequence thereof, a state of war exists since the 19th be tween France and Prussia. This declaration de-claration also applies to the allies of Prussia who give her any assistance." |
