Show Thanksoiti.no Ball. The Towns-end Towns-end House, on Thursday night, is to be the scene of a grand Thanksgiving ball and supper, at which beauty and fashion are to appear in happy mood and on enjoyment bent. A double ; band has been engaged, including 01- I sen's string band, and supper will be i laid for sixty-fire couples. The following fol-lowing gentlemen form the committees: On arrangements, J. P. Page, S. i Woodward and A. Godbe, Esqrs.: on reception. Major W. IT. Bird, Hon. ' Gen. A . Black and Nelson Lawrence, Esq.; on supper, Wm. McClosky, J. ; F. Woodman and A. W. White, Esrs.; floor managers, A. S. Goujd, J. C. Arick and Sharpe Walker, Esqrs. The ball is expected to be a very handsome affair, and every exertion exer-tion is being made to have it a complete com-plete success. The above notice was in type for yesterday morning, but was unavoidably unavoid-ably crowded out. |
