The San Domingo commissioners' report, which is nearly finished, will be submitted to the President to-day, aud it is understood will be Eont to Congress on Thursday. The commissioners, or at least two of them, contemplate spending a couple of weeks here in elaborating their report, re-port, but the report as prefaced by Wade, gives all facts called lor by the resolution of Congress under which the commission was appointed. Tlie Methodist Book Frauds. New York, 29, The sub-committee of the Methodist book concern, met this afternoon for the purpose of again trying to agree upon an expert to examine ex-amine the books, with reference to the alleged frauds therein. Laboring with Sumner. The Times' Washington correspondent correspond-ent says, that after it was determined that Sumner speech was to be made, Senator Buckingham is said to have gone to him and entreated him to include in-clude in it a paragraph disclaiming any purpose or feeling of hostility towards the Republican party, so that his speech could not be used against the success of the party in the election in i Connecticut next Monday. Buck-j Buck-j ingham foresaw that unless Sum-j Sum-j ner drew, in his speech, a sharp jline between the party and I the administration, the effect in that State of his fierce arraignment would be deeply felt. Sumner said he would take it into consideration, and having done so, next day he declined absolutely abso-lutely to comply with the request, and i it will be noticed no such disclaimer appeared. 'J'ruckeeln Flames. San Francisco, 2T. The town of Truckee, California, on the Pacific railroad, is in flames. Several lives women and children have been lost. Tho town will probably be destroyed. It is proved that she stated some time before that if Crittenden ever brought his wife back to live with him, one of them should die; and that she shot him while he was sitting surrounded sur-rounded by his family, who had joined him a few minutes previously.
