E q., we are able to publish the following items from a private letter from Boliver Koberts, Fsq., who left this city two weeks ago for Sweetwater. Between Bryan and South Pass they saw seven Indians, but it was near the station where ten soldiers were; and the soldiers with the stage-driver stage-driver and Mr. Ed. Mann give cha-e, following the Indians so closely that they left a mule, saddle and bridle behind, two- Indians mounting one horse and thus getti g off - The-lte raid by the Indians on South Pass, resulted in the killing of three men. whose names will be found on our first page in an article from the New York 6'un, and probably some others, and the loss of over a hundred horses and mule;. |
