Show Obsequies. The fo lowing, handed in fir publication, w..s crowded out yesteiday morning : The obsequies of Major James T5. Lewis took place at 'J p in. on the Lth ins'., in the 2uth ward scheo -house. The meet ng was addressed by Elders G. Q Cannon and Joseph W . Young and B'shop Sharp in an impressive aod intercsiing manner. At the close of the services, the officers of the 31 regiment escorted the remains in the hearse on foot to the cemetery, f he colors i f the regiment were draped in monrniner and his brother officers wen1 in full dress. The procession looked very imposing. After the burial, the. officers formed a circle around the grave, and were addressed I'or s few minutes by Col. Sharp, who spoke of the deceased in the highest term-", eu-logi-ing his bravery and rea b.ness on every occasion to perform the smallest duty pertaining to a soldier's life. During a period of nine 5'ears, the deceased de-ceased had been an active and energetic ener-getic ofricci- in the regiment.
