Show REGARDING CREOLE STRIKE I Getting Ready For a Hundred and Fifty Ton Shipment iOn i-On Tuesday of this week The Herald made mention of the reported strike inS I in-S the Creole mine at Park City and also of the fact that in certain circles the crces I belief was strong that in time this mine would come to the front as one of the big dividend payers of the i Park I While investigating into the merits of the reported discovery of a fine body of goo shipping ore in the Cre ole a Herald representative yesterday called on J Jl Thomas of this city who is the acting president ot the company and the reporter was informed in-formed by Mr Thomas and by Vf A Fortescue one of the directors of the company that the repoit as published in The Herald was correct In every particular and that the officers of the company are feeling highly elated over the very encouraging showing made In the property at the present time tme The Herald was also informed that since the publication of the article i above referred to there had been an I increased demand for the stock of the company and that a number of transfers trans-fers had been made on the strength of It S Mr Thomas received word from the Creole yesterday to the effect that the ore bodies were increasing in size as I development work progressed and that within the next few days i was the intention to make a shipment of from I 100 to 150 tons ot high grade ore while i was the expectation to continue regular I reg-ular consignments hereafter j At the present time a force of 15 men i is employed in the mine In ore and in i pushing development work and I is I the intention to increase this force as I I soon as room can be made for the men to work in The shipment referred to will comprise com-prise a lot of ore from the threefoot streak In the eightfoot ledge that will carry average values of 35 per cent lead 50 ounces silver and from 3 to 4 in gold while the balance of the five feet of mineral will assay La the neighborhood of 25 to 30 per cent lead 30 ounces silver and 1 to 150 in l gold to the ton Samples of ore from the new strike are on exhibition at the office of the company in the Atlas block I is a fine black carbonate and while baser ores are always a drug on the market this is always in demand at the smelters smelt-ers |
