Show Affairs at the Dexter Mr James Hickey arrived last evening even-ing to take charge as superintendent of the Dexter says the TimesReview of Tuscarora Nev Mr Hickey is an old experienced miner who has been connected con-nected with some of the leading companies com-panies operating in Utah Idaho and Nevada The company is furtunate in securing the services of so able and experienced ex-perienced a man and under his management man-agement and direction we predict the Dexter will prove to be all its owners and promoters have claimed for it Mr Hickey made an examination of the Dexter some time since and was much pleased with the property which he is confident will prove one of the most magnificent gold properties in I the west Mr L L Archer who had been appointed temporarily by the board of directors to perform the du ties of superintendent not being a miner has been urging the necessity of securing a more practical man and after a careful canvass of available men they have selected Mr Hickey Mr C P Brooks the wellknown surveyor sur-veyor of Salt Lake accompanied Mr Hickey and is now engaged in making an underground survey of the work ings ingsI is not likely that any material change will be made in the number or I personnel of the force now employed and as before stated work will probably prob-ably be confined to blocking out the ore bodies until such time as the new mill is ready to commence crushing |
