outcome of this contest ha been the all absorbing topic of discussion discus-sion in Sporting circles since the con sumation of the match Mechanics pavilion which has been the scene of many memorable pugilistic encounters presented a lively appearance appear-ance shortly before the principal appeared ap-peared in the ring Every ncpk and corner in the Vast auditorium had its occupants At this juncture an accident acci-dent happened which for a time bade fair to assume serious proportions The seats elevated on the whole end of the west side of the pavilion suddenly collapsed col-lapsed and the occupants Kere pied in I confused head Then a second section jf seats on the northeast side of the building came down in a heap and the audience was again thrown into a state of uproar A few moments later another an-other section in the northwest corner collapsed and the great crowd was almost most in a state of panic Every man was on his feet and a very uneasy feeling feel-ing nervaded
