Show I ALL DID WELL I Cincinnati April Although the weather was generally inclement there was much interest taken in the municipal munici-pal election especially by the women in suburban places and smaller cites In proportion to their number of candidates can-didates it is estimated that more women wo-men were elected members of the board of education than men The women did not oppose each other They defeated men Mrs Peabody wife of VicePresident Peabody of the Baltimore Ohio Southwestern rail way was elected in the suburban village lage of Madisonville There was no election In this city but In the suburbs the women did well At Akron two women were elected and a majority of the places elected one with the exception of two or three larger cities The Republicans were successful although only local issues were at stake |
