Show GOOD SENSE REIGNS MIXERS AT WARDXER DESERVE APPROBATION They Agree to Resume Work at the Old Wages Until Silver and Lend Reach a Better Figure I Wardner Idaho May 9The Bunker I I Hill and Sullivan management haying I hay-ing expressed a willingness to resume work in their mines at 3 for miners I and 250 for car mnes men and shovelers the business men of Wardner and Kellogg drew up this petition which is being generally signed We the undersigned citizens of Wardner and Kellogg in consideration con-sideration of the extremely low price In lead silver and in further consideration of the fact that the cost of living has decreased believe be-lieve that while these low prices continue con-tinue 3 per day for miners and 5250 for day laborers are fair and just rates of wages We further believe that the Bunker Hill and Sullivan Mining and Concentrating company has the same right to manage their ow affairs as we have to manage ours We hereby pledge the company our cordial support in Its determination to pay no higher wages while prices of lead and silver are so low it being understood that said company will restore re-store wages to the former scale of 350 and 3 whenever the prices of lead and silver advance so that the combined combin-ed value in New York of 100 pounds of lead to two and a half ounces of silver shall amount to 6 I is believed that the miners will resume are employed on this basis About 400 men |
