Show I MANGLtD BY THE CARS I A 1 Walcleu Loses His Life nn tae Result of au Accident I As the result of injuries received at Pleasant Valley Junction on the Rio Grande Western and the subsequent I amputation of his right leg A T Val the Western den freight conductor on Yester1 died at the Sisters hospital at an early I hour yesterday morning The unfortunate man was making a coupling at the station named on Saturday Satur-day morning and through the slipping of his feet he fell under tho wheels of the train several cars of which passed over his right leg cutting it off below the knee On a special train Walden was I brought to this city and taken to St Marys hospital where he submitted to I an amputation at the hands of the house surgeons He never revived but died I some hours later IJ Walden was 31 years of age and a member I mem-ber of the order of Knights of Pythias His lodge Green River No 1 has been I notified of the sad death |
