MORE FLOUR CO TICS Fort Douglas and Fort Daclicsno io Be Supplied Again are the millers contesting to furnish flour for Uncle Sams defenders defend-ers this time the supply of flour for two posts Fort Douglas and Fort Du chesne being the prize Bids were yesterday yes-terday opened at Fort Douglas and there were but three competitors for the local contract and four on the Fort Duchesne The competition was on 45000 pounds of straight grade and I 5000 pounds of high patent flour each The bids on the Fort Douglas contract con-tract were as follows H O Harkness I of McCammon Ida 1241 per hundred hun-dred for straight grade and 3134 for high patent Hyrum Stewart of Kays vIe 127 for straight grade and 149 for high patent Layton Mill and Elevator Ele-vator company 135 for straight grade and 5145 for high patent On the Fort Duchesne lot the three bidders named made gpod the Fort Douglas figures flour to be delivered on board cars Salt Lake city R S Col lett of Vernal was the lowest bidder however he offering straight grade at 230 and high patent at 255 delivered at the post Contracts will be awarded on Monday by the quartermaster and meanwhile ten pound samples of the flours are in the hands of the post cooks for tests Quality always carr s the day against lowness of figuring
