I NO BALL GAME A Could Not Get Enough Players Eo I ge her There was an abortive attempt to play a ball game at Walker field yesterday terday afternoon and a couple of hundred hun-dred fans went down to see It But it never got Tjeyond the attempt stage I seems that ball players are so scarce in Salt Lake that the men that were managing man-aging the game could not accumulate enough to make up two teams Anyway only about teem and a half could be raked together and after trying to drag a lot of the spectators out on the field to afford amusement for the others those otherg got disgusted and got up in a body and left receiving their money back at the gate The men who arranged the game even forgot to furnish I fur-nish suits and a mask and bats and before they could find enough boys to send up town for the things they had left behind everybody was gone and the game was off Thus endeth the baseball season Rcquiescat in pace
