Show LOOKS LIKE A MISTBIAL Jury In Jones Burglary Case Locked Up For the Night Nearly all of yesterday nasccupied by Judge Norrell in the trial of Arthur Jones on the charge of breaking Into Joseph Williams store at 140 K street on Oct 3 James Clark WIlliam Hughes and Joseph Davis are accused of complicity with Jones On motion of J M Hamilton attorney for tie fendants the case against Clark wan dismissed The trials of Hughes and Davis went over The evidence for the prosecution was largely of a circumstantial nature svhile the lefeflse set up an alibi 5ev oral of Jones witnesses contradicted themselves and each other on cross examnation The jury retired t 5 oclock to deliberate delib-erate upon the case At 10 p m they had not agreed upon a verdict and Judge Norrell ordered them locked up for the night More Jurors Called The following additional jurors were drawn yesterday for service in the criminal court Alex Cohn James E Brown James Stacy William McLaughlin Mc-Laughlin John A Hobbs J M Smith Elmer E Darling V H McIntyre Peter A Burt Grant Hampton John B Reid and Robert 5 Armstrong G S Holmes was excused from jury service for the term Snowden Pleads Not Guilty Cornelius B Snowdea was arraigned before Judge Norrelt yesterday on an information charging him with having committed adultery with Audrey Keel Cr a Richfield girl in this city on Oct 2 He pleaded not guilty to the charge His trial will commenne on Dee 5 |
