| Show to the eisteddfod chorus dear children we have met our opponents at the eisteddfod and have been vanquished no doubt many of you feel downhearted because of our failure to win a prize but this should not be I 1 am proud of you salt lake city is proud of you for making makin such a good fight under so many disadvantages let us review them our opponents had about people to select each chorus from we had about they have had bad music in their schools ever since they were old enough to go to school we have had one or two years only they have attended training 0 classes under profs pros stephens and bassett for several years we have had bad no training classes they live where they can hear good music every week we do not they have been trained all summer by prof stephens whose fame as a trainer composer and leader reaches almost around the world meeting 0 twice a week alltop all together ge ther you have had no such a trainer and could only meet once a week in small in groups for only seven weeks finally the composer of the music we san sang 7 led one of the opposing 0 choirs under such circumstances that 14 we were able to beat one of the their r choirs as all admit we did and stand close up to the winners should be a subject for con congratulations r atu by your papas and mamas and the people of davis county I 1 desire to thank you one and all for your noble work and your parents and all who aided us respects respectfully ully your teacher H A tuckett |
