Show PIONEER WOMAN GONE Mrs Ann Nebeker Is Dead at Payson Special to Thq Herald Payson July 26Mrs Ani Nebeker died today at an early hour of old age She was one of Paysons old pioneers She was horn at Pompton N J March 25 1517 where she lived until she was 20 and received a common school education About this time she was married to John Havens by whom three children were born She joined the Mormon church being baptized in the Hudson river in 1841 She went to Nauvoo in ISIS the following fol-lowing year buried her husband and soon aftjir burled her mother In 1846 she started westward and while at Winter Quarters her father died She was agaIn married to Henry Nebeker in the spring of 1S67 and started on the road to the valleys of Utah with the fIrst emigrants who crossed the plaIns In Salt Lake City she lived four years and moved to Pay son in 1151 Five children were born by Mr Nebeker all of whom are still living In the year of the Black Hawk war she moved to the 3tuddy and remaIned two years Her last husband died at Signed Utah about live years ago tIer children were at her bedside when she passed peacefully away The funeral will be held at the tabernacle tomorrow afternoon at 2 oclock |
