Show WATER RIGHTS INVOLVED Draper Case On Trial Before Judge Cherry A suit involving important water rights in Draper was on trial in Judge Cherrys court yesterday John W Smith the plaintiff sued the Draper Irrigation company for 500 damages to his fruit orchards by the destruction of his irrigating ditch in the spring of 1837 The company claimed that Smith was a shareholder in it and that he was entitled to a certain amount of water from its ditch but that he had drawn water from the ditch from above the headgate used by the other stockholders stockhold-ers and had taken more than his share The case will probably last through to dar Ferguson Cannon appeared for the plaintiff and Lindsay Rogers for the defendant |
