Show I NEW RUSH VALLEY DISTRICT I Organized on Short Notice and Trouble Is Brewing Mercur Jan 27 Work at the Northern North-ern Light is progressing as rapidly a possible At the present rate it will take about ten days to finish it The mill is all ready with the exception of putting in the crusher McEvoy and Hubbard have purchased the Chloride Point and several adjoining I adjoin-ing properties and added to the claims already owned by McEvoy Today they sent some men provisions and mining supplies to commence operations opera-tions The St Clair boys are still at work on the Gladstone and have struck ore which is very promising There is some talk of laying out 40 acres of land into building lots at Box Springs The prospects are that nearly 1000 men will be at work on Lion hill next summer A big roar is going up from some of the claim owners in Rush valley The meeting for the organization of a new district was held a few evenings ago and Mrs Howe elected recorder Most of the claim owners among whom are DeLamar Dieter Dignowty and others say they had no notice of any such intention In-tention and object to a division of the district A meeting of the claim owners of Camp Floyd district has been called for Feb 4 at which the question of extending extend-ing the district west to cover recent locations will be considered and will probably be carried This of course will conflict with the new district and may result in litigation The trouble arises from the rather indefinite description descrip-tion of the western boundary of Camp Floyd district Claim owners say that the new district was not legally organized organ-ized no legal notice of a meeting haying hay-ing been given that it would be an injustice in-justice to those who have in good faith located and recorded claims that the recorder elected is not a resident of the district and that it is opposed to the interests of the original district as well as the proposed new one I |
