1807 1897 the commissioners mot met pursuant to adjournment full board present the attorney reported he had effected the appeal in the case of the school district vs county commissioners of davis county the petition of S J levy co for a rebate of liquor license was read W H streeper appeared before the commissioners and asked a rebate of taxes on a mortgage of assessed to him which has been cancelled and the debt secured by notes amounting 0 to the matter was referred to the county attorney william A Alo bius representing 0 the singer alag mfg co appeared before the commissioners and represented that the license of sewing machine agents was excessive and asked that the same be reduced the matter was taken under advisement lucy A rigby k appeared before the commissioners and complained that sho she was doubly assessed in property on which by mistake she received no notice of valuation it is ordered that 15 of her taxes be abated on account of double assessment geo IV green road supervisor of road district no 17 reported that the ditch company will accept the ditch on highway no 22 and exempt the county from further liability in the prein premises aises provided be made for his relief until further ordered it is so ordered commissioner parker reported that it will be necessary to purchase from george swan one and three fortieths adre acre of land at syracuse junction in order to make the county road four rods wide at that point the matter was referred to commissioner parker with power to purchase the necessary land it appearing that the erty at
