lie ile had consulted one of the directors of the canal and lie he promised to bring the matter before the board of directors for their consideration he also called the attention of the directors to the unsafe condition of the bridge on the main road to ogden on the section line between section 35 11 and 36 tp 5 north range 2 west recommended that the bridge be 0 made twenty four feet wide and that rails be put on the side to keep teams from running oft off report adopted joseph S king thomas evans sod and christopher weaver verbally petitioned to have a certain petition from thomas evans monday to prepare some of the papers for the case theodore herman and earl 0 young son of john W young were tried before justice lamb on tuesday morning on the charge of peti larceny and convicted the evidence showed allowed that on tile the night of march they had stolen two saddles saddies valued at 15 each one from ricaard Ri clard duerden and the other from joseph wood in bountiful and sold them to a second hand dealer sheriff sanders previously notified the salt lake police of the articles lost so on april ath detective sheets made the arrests slid and on oil the gib the prisoners were turned over to sheriff sanders and deputy sheriff roberts who brought them to farmington the prisoners plead guilty to the charge slid and received the following sentences sentence herman twenty five
