report the treasurers treasur ers and recorders books had been audited by them anti and found to correspond with a few ac captions which they mentioned report was accepted the petition of john waite J T mabey stephen J hart ind and others asking for a transfer of water to john goodfellow was granted the bonding of the water on t the lie respective creeks for the purpose of making ice was thoroughly cause why they should be allowed the privilege aforesaid davis st stated that a number of persons living 0 in the neighborhood of simeon ms complained to him that the mountain ice company had bonded the water in the past and in consequence the settlers were deprived of it mr ellis pros pres of the mountain lee ice co said that the company had bad been granted the privilege 0 of pond ing the water for milling 0 purposes for a number of y years ears that lie he did not believe that there was much difference in the quantity of water that ll 11 now ow reaches the settlement and that formerly previous to making tile the complaint they were deprived of it mr E eric ric hogan reported that the company had been doing 0 some climp chopping prior to the time alluded to by mr bryson and consequently antly the pond became low and while filling fillin 0 it was shutoff mr ho 0 arl said a certain ditch above the mill lid did not have a divide and in consequence the water could not be regulated as it should be A number of reasons were given giten that we are unable to give to show that the people were not injured by the water being bonded in the r respective e spec tive ponds after hearing 0 all alche tile evidence the council pissed passed a resolution that it be the sense of that body to instruct all water masters to see that the water be kept running continually when it flow into the ponds council adjourned to tuesday evening jan jail ath 1893 TUMMY TUESDAY EVENINGS SESSION all tile the councilmen were arese prese present nt at tuesday evenings session mayor holbrook presiding recorder erran ean presented his report for tile the year 1893 the same wits was accepted treasurer String bam also presented his report for the year which showed that there is a balance in the treasury of 76 this report was also accepted after these reports had been read and accepted the new city officers presented their commissions which were ivero accepted there was a vacancy owing to john fisher declining to qualify at as councilman D 0 lV willey illey brigham brigha m holbrook and david stoker were nominated for to fill the vacancy david stoker declined to accept D 0 winey willey
