MEET AN AL ELECTION HELD HEID R LD BY UTAH ASSOCIATION Miss iss May President and Remainder of Old Board Again Chosen The Tha Utah State Kindergarten asso association association held its annual business meet meeting Ing I ng and election of ot o officers yesterday af in the kindergarten room at the he the university President Mary C May presided and made her report of the work done by the association during the past ast year The kindergarten founded over oer a year y r ago go and still con ducted in the Webster school of this city has been maintained throughout the he year by the association and is do dong trig ing ng very successful and encouraging work Reports were also made by the sec secretary secretary secretary Miss Donnette Smith by the treasurer Mrs Nellie M Little and nd also by the chairman of the Webster kindergarten committee Means of supporting a free kinder kindergarten kIndergarten kindergarten garten in this city next year were dis discussed cussed and a committee appointed to arrange for and manage the school The committee will ask the board of education again to furnish t a room in which h the class may meet and this means that in all probability the kin at the Webster will be con with even greater success next year The appointment of a delegate to at tend the international kindergarten union to be held beld in Brooklyn n on April 1819 18 8 19 and 20 was not definitely made It t was understood however that if Miss Donnette Smith can arrange her school work satisfactorily that the president resident will appoint her to represent the Utah association All the officers who have served dur ins ing ng the past year were reelected by k unanimous vote They are as follows President Miss Mary C May first fiES vice president Mis Mrs William Driver Ogden second vice president Mrs Craig Provo corresponding and recording secretary Miss Donnette Smith treas treasurer treasurer treasurer Mrs Nellie M Little The mem bern bers jers of the general board are William M tIe Stewart Mrs W S McCornick Mrs G F Young Mrs E B Wells Mrs Emma J McVicker Mrs R K Thomas and Mrs Jane M Kingsbury 4
