Show THE VETERAN FIREMAN Boys Who Ran with the Old Machine Ma-chine A Royal Reception at Ogden Parade This Morning and a Trip to Saltair The Veteran Fireman from the sunset slope with their wives numbering in all about one hundred reached Ogden yesterday yes-terday afternoon and were given a royal welcome by the hospitable Junction City people Mayor Lundy delivering an address ad-dress of welcome while one of the visitors vis-itors made a fitting response The vets were met at Ogdon by a committee from Salt Lake and escorted to Salt Lake arriving ar-riving here at a late hour last night The greater number of the visitors remained in their cars while a few came up town to spend the night visiting the fire headquarters I I head-quarters which were tastefully decorated with bunting by Chief Stanton fAt 10 oclock this morning the members I of the local Veteran Firemens association associa-tion will join the visitors at the Rio I Grande Western depot and the procession proces-sion will move along the following line of march Second South to West Temple south to Third South east to State north to South Temple west to East Temple south to Second South west to West Temple north to South Temple and west to Saltair train at Sixth West street The procession will be made up as follows fol-lows FIRST DIVISION UNDER COLONEL GEORGE M OTTINGER Platoon of police Helds band Salt Lake city veterans Juvenile drum corps Pacific slope veterans Fort Douglas fire department SECOND DIVISION UNDER MAJOR W A STAKTON Denhalters band First division of fire department Liberal drum corps Second division of fire department Ladies committee and ladies of the party in carriages The train for Saltair Beach kindly tendered to the committee by Manager Clayton will leave the Rio Grande Western depot at about 11 oclock The party will return in time to attend an organ recital in the tabernacle at 2 pm after which the visitors will be shown over the city for an hour or two and then leave for the east The City Railway company will honor the firemens badges but the Rapid Transit company declined to extend that I courtesy |
