Show farmington FARMIN OTON FRACTIONS county court notes sheriffs InOus industrial trial eipl expanse rise bill not allowed the county court of davis county met in it adjourned session last monday june 1894 at the court house bonse in ill farmington there being it a full board present minutes of session held june ath 1894 were rend read and approved the matter of the petition of mr J warner and fourteen others asking ing 0 a right of way for irrigation ditch came up for hearing t on oil the hie petition of abos J steed asking that the order heretofore made be revoked thomas J steed heing being present in support of liis his petition and J warner appeared on behalf of liim self and petition cis and he be having by leave of court ad mended his petition to include all persons interested te in the clearfield water ditch the licar hearing ilIg was prec ceded with and the petitioner heard them on 01 motion the order heretofore made was modi modified fled and amended to read that same petition be granted to all persons interested in and using what is known as clearfield water ditch and that the petitioners petition ers reimburse T J steed for labor performed and material furnished by him in making the ditch located on said line of right of way on such terms as may be just and equitable the petition of joel parrish and twenty others the appointment of alwood brown its as tree inspector actor was read and on motion of selectman cook referred to select man lee and county attorney pearson to enquire into the matter and report thereon at the next session of court selectman nalder reported that lie he looked into tile the matter of the petition of J 11 II morgan and others and recommended that no action be taken thereon for forthe alie present as in his big opinion the season was too far advanced to be of any an practical utility on motion of selectman lee the report was waa adopted the attorney and clerk to whom was referred tile the claim of the sheriff for restraining the industrial on oil the north line of davis county V as to the validity of said claim as a county charge I 1 ic ported they had bad investigated the matter and could find no authority tho rity authorizing g the sheriff to incur said expense and were of the opinion that said claims were not a legal charge against the county on motion of selectman lee the hie report was accepted and the bill ordered returned to the sheriff A communication from geo gen W green supervisor of the lath road district was read relative to the oh ob on highways nos I 1 ac G and 22 and also in relation to the water damaging highway n no 1 the last item was waa referred to lo the alie attorney to instruct the supervisor how to proceed in the matter and the surveyor was instructed to survey resurvey rf highway no 16 with power to change the line of survey if found to be to the best interests of all concerned on motion of selectman lee tile the following amounts were levied on the assessed valuation of tile the county to wit for territorial pur purposes roses 2 mills for territorial school 3 mills for county purposes aj 2 mills for county school li IJ mills being a total of nine mills on motion of selee selectman aman nalder the fixing of the compensation of the assessor and collector was laid over till next session of court on oil notion motion of selectman cook tile the time for setting as a board of equalization to hear complaint as to the assessed valuation of property be wednesday the 1811 thursday aud and friday the of july 1891 1894 1 from 10 a m to 4 p m of each day CLAIMS ALLOWED thos H phillips stationery act 1000 0 wood sheriff criminal 64 R wade tree inspector 2260 john IV steed supervisor roads edwin bone bounty 10 EC adjourned till monday july 2 1891 |
