| Show THURSTOX NOT TROUBLED The Action of the German BondHolders Bond-Holders In All Right Omaha Dec 7John M Thurston general solicitor of the Union Pacific just returned from St Louis expresses himself at length on the question of the disintegration of the Union Pacific system which has been exploited during dur-ing the past week also touching upon the action of the German bondholders of company the Oregon Railway Navigation Of the latter move he says The I action is by no means a surprise I is a preliminary step much desired by the receivers of the Union Pacific who have wanted to transact matters pertaining per-taining to the receivership with someone some-one person or bank authorized to act In behalf of the stockholders This has been done There is no fear of a dismemberment of the system as the interests of the Union Pacific are too closely interwoven to be lightly1 put aside There is nothing suspicious about the meeting of the German bondholders bond-holders in Berlin yet I is only a prelmnar step in assisting the receivers re-ceivers to manipulate the property for the best interests of all concerned I the Union Pacific Denver Gulf system under the new receiver should fail to meet the interest payment on the Colorado Central mortgage the bondholders bond-holders under that mortgage would commence foreclosure proceedings asking ask-Ing the segregation of the Colorado Central lines from the balance of the Gulf system and would undoubtedly be entitled to a separate receiver pending pend-ing the foreclosure c Chicago the Coast t St Louis Dec 7The Missouri Pacific Pa-cific on Dec 2 jJ conjunction with the Chicago Alton will inaugurate a t 1 line of through Pullman tourist sleepers sleep-ers from Chicago to Los Angeles The cars leave Chicago at 1 a m daily via Alton St Louis at 930 p m the same day by the Iron Mountain route gong go-ng via Texarkana Dallas Fort Worth and El Paso to Los Angeles arriving at the late point at 4 p m on the fourth day out This line has been established ablished to meet the demand from the east and north for better through facilities via extreme southern lines |
