Show Nebraskas Maximum Hat Bill OIl Neb March 26 Spscial telegram tele-gram to TIE HERALD I A great effort is now being made by citizens throughout Nebraska Ne-braska to have the governor veto the maximum maxi-mum rate bill recently passed by tho legislature legis-lature Numerous petitions are being signed urging the bills veto and all boards of trade in the stat are sending delegations delega-tions to the capital to persuade the governor gover-nor to kill it It is conceded that the measure is too rigid It is feared itis said that serious complications will result in the event of tan measure becoming law Besides these there are many petitions from railway c nployees representing the various railroad organizations and Knights Labor setting forth tho bill would have I the effect of depriving many men of employment em-ployment and reducing the wages of others |
