Show RAILROAD TELEURAPHERS S An Amicable Arrangement Seems to Have Been Hade with the Company OMAHJL July 18Speclal telegram to THE HERALD Tho representatives of the Order of Railroad Telegraphers of the Union Pacific system who for tbo past thirty days have been having a luxurious timo In Omaha were accorded an interview inter-view with Superintendent Korty of the Union Pacific this afternoon It is understood under-stood that since their coming to Omaha i the schedule which they proposed originally I origin-ally to submit to the powers that be hat been materially changed and that now there is good ground for believing that many of their requests will bo granted provided that they do not conflict with precedents made in this department It is well known that many operators on the system are poorly paid but this fact may not have been called to the attention ef tho superintendeut heretofore so that it looks as if the presence of tho telegraphers in Omaha would be a sort of enlightenment campaign Another session will bo held tomorrow Since tho conference the men seem greatly pleased but maintain great secrecy |
