May 19 at I p.m. at the Sy racuse ra-cuse Second LDS Ward Chapel. Bishop John A. Flint, officiated. The family pray er w as given by Darwin Hayes. Prelude and postlude organ music was played by Nancy Burton. A VOCAL duet, "I'll Walk With God," was rendered by Mrs. Rhonda Hansen and Mrs. Evonne Boone, accompanied by Mrs. Burton. Remarks were given by Bishop John A. Flint, and the speakers were Pres. C. Russell Hansen, and Pres. Sheldon F. Child. A VOCAL solo. "Whispering "Whisper-ing Hope." was rendered by Dick Fgan. with Mrs. Burton as accompanist. The benediction was given by Kay Darrington and the grave in the Syracuse Cemetery Cemet-ery was dedicated by Duane S. Burton. THE PALLBEARERS were Brent Hayes. Terry Hayes. Robin Lawson. Jim Anderson. Travis Hayes. Troy Lawson. Brian Henry and Kevin Holmes, all grandsons. The flowers were in charge of (he Syracuse Second Ward Relief Society and the funeral directors were Lindquist and Sons Mortuary, vsb IVA B. JENSEN Mrs. Iva Luella Barber Jensen. Jen-sen. 89. of 1919 W. 270(1 S.. S i acuse. died on Friday. May 15 in a local nursing home, following fol-lowing an illness. MRS. JENSEN was born on I cb. 23. 1892 in Farmington. and was the daughter of James Arthur and Luella Casper Barber. At the age of eight, she moved w iih her family to Syracuse. Syra-cuse. With the exception of a few more years that she spent in Hooper, following her marriage, mar-riage, she has remained in Syracuse. SHE WAS married to George Leonard Jensen on Nov. 24. 1915 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She was an active member of the Syracuse Second LDS Ward, and had served in the Relief Society. Primary and Sunday School organizations in various positions. She was a member of the Iris dup Camp and served as captain and secretary sec-retary of the group. |
