Show FROM KAYSVIMiE The Democrats or Davis County Are Wide Awake Kaysville May 15The Davis county Democratic society is arranging for a series of Democratic meetings to be held throughout the countyone in each precinct The first meeting was held in the Bountiful Opera house last evening Waiter Murphy and James H Moyle of Salt Lake were the speakers speak-ers These gentlemen expect to visit every precinct and it is intended that societies will be organized in precincts where organizations have not already been effected Appointments have been made for meetings at Centerville next Thursday evening South Bountiful on Friday evening and West Bountiful on Monday evening The Democratic county central committee com-mittee held a meeting in Farmingtpn yesterday and issued a call for a county convention to be held in the Young Mens Hall Centerville on Saturday June 2 at 1 oclock p m The convention will consist of thirty three delegates apportioned among the precincts as follows Bountiful 6 West 2 South 3 Centerville 3 Farm ington 5 Kaysville 7 Layton 3 Steed 1 South Weber 1 South Hooper 1 Syracuse 1 Primaries for the election elec-tion of delegates are to be held in the various precincts on Thursday evening even-ing May 31 at 8 oclock p m Editor Smith has returned from the Midwinter Fair and is again in charge of the Eagle There was no issue of the paper last week on account of some misunderstanding between Mr Smith and his employees The regular monthly conjoint session of the Y M and Y L M I A associations asso-ciations was held last Sunday evening A good flow of artesian water was struck at T H Phillips I place on the new survey this morning A flowing flow-ing well in that arid locality is of almost I al-most incalculable value I |
