last evenings session of the city council I the following communication read GENTLEMENIn order to fully comply with I the requirements of the ordinance regulating I the sale and delivery of coal to the public wo would lilio the following information First At what place must we get coal weighed Second In what manner do you wish to weigh the coal sold to farmers and others who come to the coul yards with their ovm teams I Third Coal that is sold by wholesale carloads car-loads and delivered tob cars how do you wish t weigh and furnish certificate of weight fourth To the poor people who purchase i fifty or a hundred pounds at the coal yards and i haul away in hand wagons how does the city I wish us to furnish certificates Fifth Should a buyer decide to take the coal FilShould 1 and for I at the coal companys weights pay same may he do to either hauling i himself or have the company haulers do the work without with-out the city cortlnoato of weight Sixth Will it be required of all teams hauling I haul-ing coal to first visit the citys scales and be weighed for light weight of wagons and horses each load or only once I day Seventh Will the city be prepared to weigh and certify on 1500 to 2000 loads and the same certfy 200 tare weights in ten hours beginning at 7 oclock am each day Eighth Will tne city appoint 0 supervisor or coal inspector with whom we may confer in regard re-gard to rules and plans of action in the expediting expe-diting of business and fill the demands of the buyers of coal so as to make the leust delay NInthTo whom will the difference 1 any be of a ton as we have been informed by coal haulers that the drayage on coal will be at least 40 coats per ton or fraction of a ton more than ut present when said coal is hauled to the city weigh scales department t reported re-ported that they had examined four different feront plans and estimates and recommended recom-mended that the plans of Vin Krolow be accepted as being the best providing that he give bonds in a sufficient amount to guarantee the erection of the three fire stations as per plans for 10000 and further fur-ther that the committee bo authorized to get bids to be submitted to
