Show The Kennel Clnb 3leetinz A large and enthusiastic meeting of the InterMountain Kennel club was held last evening at the Delmcnico hotel on Second South street President M Kinney in the chair The following gentlemen were elected members W J Mahoney E B Wright James Johnston E H Rich Mark McKimmons and A J Drake Major Levey reported that he had communicated com-municated with the Deseret Agricultural and Manufacturing society in regard to the kennel show to be hold In conjunction with the fair President Kinney authorized Superintendent Superin-tendent Leroy to announce that he would give tho following special prizes to be awarded at tbe fall show 100 for the best smoothcoated St Bernard dog and ST for the best rougti coated St Bernard bitch the donor of prizes not to compete In the drawing for the coursing match to be held at Calders on Sunday next the following dogs were drawn Baron WalK den against Spy Jim against Fawn Shamrock Sham-rock Lass against Salt Lake Boy Mormon Boy against King of the Turf Ring against California Beile Tho first course will be run with live hares and the deciding courses with the patent jack A motion j prevailed that all dogs entered should be in the hands of the club until ail the courses II were run This was decided upon to protect pro-tect tho public as the owner of some of the dogs entered last Sunday had failed to run the deciding courses The committee on permanent quarters reported they had engaged a room in the Dooly building Tho club adjourned to meet next Friday evening at 8 oclock |
