Show THE BIG REVIVAL Bankers and Merchants Will Close Tomorrow to Attend lie Mills Preaches Yesterday Afternoon and I Evening Largo Attendance Prozramme for Tomorrow ayors Proclamation Notwithstanding the fact that Sunday bad been the big day at the big tent meetings meet-ings yesterdays services were well attended at-tended and tho interest seemed to be unflagging un-flagging THE AFTERNOON SERMON was intended for mothers only and the large audience which greeted the pastor was sufficient to inspire him with new enthusiasm en-thusiasm in the cause he has been so strongly advocating these many days Mr Mills took for his text the 28th verse of xxxi Proverbs Her Children Arise up and Call Her Blessed Of tho many sermons he has given perhaps per-haps not one has contained so much of feeling feel-ing and delivered as it was to those who are the fountains of our being the nourishers of the body and from whom is derived the mainsprings of human action it was most deep and touching in Its appeal The attentive ear the teardimmed eye and the prayerful lips to be seen in every part of the vast assembly told how near to the hearts of the mothers of Salt Lake came the truths which were uttered Mr Mills could not have Dean more fortunate for-tunate in his theme or in his audience THE EVENING SERVICE The first night of the third weelt witnessed wit-nessed no abatement of the interest in the night services at the tent The crowd was unusually large and the audience seemed to be on better terms with itself and pastor than usual After the preliminary singing Mr Mills announced as the text for the evening discourse another selection from Proverbs being the 13th verse of the xxviiith chapter He that covereth his sins shall not prosper Unusual force and emphasis was given to every phase the subject presented I Mankind is prone to believe that the consequences conse-quences of sin and light are temporal and hence the cbance of living an unbridled and repenting at the eleventh hour are too often risked Some content themselves with the belief that their particular sins arc secret and few while still another class hold to the doctrine of irresponsibility and a very large number set up false standards or action and live to them Mr Mills maintained that though we may lose our moral sense here we will regain I in hellshould that be the end Every faculty by which we sin will be awakened there Sin is horrible but Godts plan for saving us is simplo and there isa way to become cleareyed and hopeful as you look into eternity Suppose you aro goingto hell anyway how are you going to lead the rest of your life on earth l That is worth thinking about I we are indifferent as to the hereafter we might not be as to the hereuoxv After silent prayer Mr Greenwood sang Sowing the Seed J the choir and the congregation con-gregation joining and the meeting concluded con-cluded with a social benediction which was in every way appropriate ANNOUNCEMENTS Tomorrow Wednesday will
