Not present for picture, Lori Ensign and Ellen Jensen. Fifteen young ladies from Bountiful area will compete for the title of Miss Bountiful Area on April 24. Troy Thornton, pageant director, announced. The girls will compete for the title at the Scholarship Pageant being held at Viewmont High School auditorium. 7:30 p.m.. competing in talent, personal interview, evening gown and swimsuit competition. ANeveningof entertainment has been arranged by the pageant committee, and everyone should plan to attend this annual event, sponsored by the Bountiful Area Chamber Cham-ber of Commerce. The winner will represent the Bountiful area in the Miss Utah Pageant in June in Orem. The winner in the Miss Utah Pageant will represent the state in the Miss America Pageant in Atlantic City in September. The girls participating this year are: LESLIE ANN Haacke. daughter of Verl and Jeannine Haacke of Bountiful. Leslie is a student at the University of Utah, majoring in business and finance. She will play and sing for the talent competition. Lori Ensign, daughter of John and Elizabeth Ensign of Farmington. attends BYU and is majoring in music education. Lori will sing for her talent number. TANYA GRAYSON, daughter daugh-ter of William and Sandra Grayson of Centerville, is a senior at Viewmont High School, where she is active in sports and serves as vice presi-dent presi-dent of the studentbody. Tanya will sing a vocal solo for her talent. Holly Rae Heslington. daughter of Howard and Cora. Heslington of Bountiful, is a senior at Woods Cross High School, and is very active in gymnastics. She plans to attend Dixie Jr. College. She w ill do a gymnastic number for her talent. ELLEN JENSEN, daughter of Vernon and Joyce Jensen of Bountiful, attends Bountiful High School, and enjoys music and drama. She will give a humorous reading for her talent ta-lent number. ' Michelle Marchant. daughter daugh-ter of Duane and Joan Marchant Mar-chant of Centerville. is a senior at Viewmont High School, where she is very active in music. She is an honor student and wants to pursue a degree in music education at BYU. She will give a vocal solo in the talent competition. BRENDA Barentsen. daughter of F. Howard and Jane Barentsen. is a senior at Woods Cross High School. She was a Sterling Scholar nominee and plans to get a degree de-gree in dental hygiene. She will give a reading for her talent. Kristy Boag. daughter of James and Judy Boag of Vancouver. Van-couver. Wash., attends Bountiful Boun-tiful High School and is very active in music and drama. She plans to develop her talents by Brenda White, daughter of Alma and Leila White of Centerville. Cen-terville. attends Viewmont High School. Jerilyn Brown, daughter of Eugene and Nelda Roskelley. is a senior at Viewmont High School, where she is active in dance. She plans to attend the University of Utah, majoring in theatre arts. She will dance in the talent competition. . KARYLYN BUTT, daughter of Jerry and Joan Butt of Bountiful, Boun-tiful, attends the University of Utah and plans to get her degree de-gree in business. She will show an art display and play a piano selection for her talent. Lisa Maxwell, daughter of Max and Omahlee Maxwell of Bountiful, is a senior at Woods Cross High School. She plans to get a bachelor's degree in public relations. For her talent she will present a precision rifle routine. DEON MURRAY, daughter of Donald and Verda Murray. Bountiful, is a senior at Bountiful Boun-tiful High School, where she is active in dance. She plans to attend Utah State University.
