Fe railroad road office that his brother David had been struck on the headawlth a coupling pin on No 5 between Catlin and Pueblo and that he had also been thrown off while tho train was making forty miles an hour Investigation Investi-gation leads the officers to the belief that tim brothers were walking the on track between be-tween tho stations named and that Robert killed David I is established that they beat their way from La Junta to Catlin and there left the train in the evening and were driven from the stock yards at that place for lighting a fire David had told a is butcher at Ross Fork for tho Fort Hall Indian agenoy had some trouble with an Indian and struck him over the head with a cleaver inflicting a fatal wound Early this morn ing Chief Clerk Mass arrived In this city having the halfbreed in charge He said when he left tho agency the injured Indian In-dian was dying and that his friends were so worked up over the matter ha had to conceal the halfbreed and bring him away on the first train to prevent his being killed by the enraged redskins The half breed will have a trial as soon as Agent Fisher can pacify tho Indians sufficiently to Besse-mer near Pueblo this morning He had walked the entire distance ubout fifty miles He was spotted In Pueblo by Constable Con-stable Keene who boarded a freight train and caught him some distance out Cox came to Colorado from Carthgate Utah where he had been working Sunday at Chandler he was full and says he was in a strange crowd In front of a saloon a fight started and bo and a friend J M
